FS UI Enhancer is a one-person project, run by Robert Macnair in the UK, who is responsible for the personal data described here. In short: this site uses no cookies and no tracking, and the only personal details kept are what's needed to sell you Pro and keep it working.

Visiting this site

• No cookies, no analytics, no tracking. That's why there's no cookie banner. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.
• Server logs. Like any web server, this one notes each request: your IP address, the page, the time and your browser's name. They're used only to keep the site running and secure (including limiting abuse), and are overwritten as new ones come in, usually within a few weeks.
• Cloudflare carries the site's traffic and protects it, so it sees the same request details.

Buying Pro

• Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to this site. Stripe shares your name, email address and country with the seller, and keeps its own payment records (see Stripe's privacy policy).
• What's kept here: your email address, your licence key, Stripe's reference for the payment, the date, and, if you bought from the app, the app's install ID (a random number, not linked to your PC or to you). Also which version of the UI Enhancer app your key was last checked from, when the app and the simulator last checked it, and when you downloaded Pro updates.
• Why: to give you your key, to check it when the app or the simulator asks, to handle refunds and support, to tell you about updates for the version you use, and to keep sales records. The legal basis is the contract between us (your purchase), and keeping records the law requires.
• How long: for as long as your licence exists, and sales records for six years, as UK tax law requires. Ask and your email address is removed sooner, if that doesn't stop your licence from working.

The app and the add-on

• Licence checks. The UI Enhancer app, and the Pro add-on in the simulator, send your licence key (or the app's install ID) to this site to check that Pro is yours, and to download Pro updates. The app also says which version of UI Enhancer it is. Nothing else about you or your PC is sent.
• Update check. The free edition asks GitHub whether there's a newer release; GitHub sees that request.
• SimBrief, BeyondATC and weather. If you use these Pro features, the simulator talks to those services directly, with the details you give them (such as your SimBrief username). This site never sees that.
• Your settings stay on your PC.

Who else handles it

Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (website traffic) process data on this site's behalf, under their data protection terms. Both may handle it outside the UK, under the safeguards UK law requires. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, and you can object to how it's used. To ask, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
